Catching public transport
Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.
School and Public Bus Routes
Changes to school services for Girraween HS will commence Monday 22 Sept 2025
Route 2001 minor path alteration to allow for future larger buses
Route 2134 extended to Fitzwilliam Tway, using a large bus, and operating express, to help crowding on route 2001. Students currently transferring from Tway services at Powers Tway are requested to do so at Fitzwilliam Tway instead.
Several morning routes (611, 630, 660, 662, 663, 664, 665) added to the advice to assist travel from the wider selective school catchment.
Students must have a valid Opal card to travel on all public transport and must tap on and off morning and afternoon.
CDC have also clarified the advice for Model Farms students on route 8010, to ensure Girraween HS students can board.

Apply for a travel pass
Eligible students can get a free travel pass under the School Student Transport Scheme. Apply for a travel pass today.
Driving and parking
The start and end of the school day are busy times for pedestrians and drivers outside schools.
When driving and parking near our school, please:
- ensure you park safely in school zones
- follow speed signs
- do not make U-turns or 3-point turns outside the school.
Parking on school grounds
School Parking Policy
- Staff Only: Parking on school grounds is reserved for staff.
- Students: Must apply and receive approval to park on school grounds.
- Parents: May only park on school grounds when dropping off or collecting an injured student.
