Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
As Principal, my mission is to develop young men and women who are aspirational and contribute positively to Australian society. Girraween High School has a proud history of academic excellence, preparing students for university and future careers. Our dedicated teachers focus on explicit teaching within the classroom and opportunities across a broad range of cocurricular activities to ensure student engagement across the four Domains of Giftedness.
We provide extensive student leadership opportunities, guided by our Core Values of Aspire, Respect, and Unite. These values are integral to our school culture and focus on fostering a sense of belonging and collaboration amongst our students.
In addition, we emphasize student wellbeing by building resilience and self-regulation skills, ensuring our students become engaged, confident learners. Our holistic approach to education, ensuring that our graduates are well-prepared for the demands of tertiary education and life beyond high school.
