To comply with GHS and DoE requirements so that Leave can be granted, parents are requested to:
- Either email the school OR your child brings a written note to the front office with an explanation why Leave is requested and include the dates for the first and last day of leave.
- Please DO NOT use the SENTRAL Parent Portal
- Provide evidence of travel such as a travel itinerary or e-ticket(s)
- Your child will be given an 'Application for Extended Leave - Travel' to bring home which you need to complete and return to the school
- Your child will then be issued a 'Certificate of Extended Leave - Travel'. If you are travelling overseas, please take this document with you to the airport
Ideally, we would need 2 week's notice to complete the above steps, however, we understand that sometimes there are emergencies.
